"YES!!!  I knew birds where a pain when it came to fruit, but never thought they would eat things like all of my romaine lettuce!"

"If you want a whiter meat, and a cleaner tasting meat you should bleed the fish.  This is done by cutting the throat while the fish is still alive and then putting it back into a bucket of water.  This will flush all of the blood out of…"

Product similar to Eco Rose available in Canada?

Hi -My system is in definite need of minerals. In researching I keep coming up with a product called Eco Rose and unfortunately it can't be sold in Canada. Does anyone know of a good substitute? I live in a small community with not alot of stores and the closest thing anyone could find was something called "fritted trace elements" however the staff were not grasping how aquaponics works and no one could tell me if this would be safe to use.Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!!See More

"I agree.  Aquaponics is fun.  I have raised koi and other fish all my life.  I enjoy watching them, it is very peaceful.  The gardening aspect is very similar in both systems, it is satisfying to plant something, watch it grow,…"

"Our aquaponic situation is different in that no heating is required, so long as native fish are used.  We change some plants with the seasons and gardening continues year round.  Gardening in soil is dirt cheap compared to aquaponics and…"
