Today was a momentous day! I cleaned out all of my piping for the very first time today, and my system is glorious and clean. Additionally, I made some modifications to the (previously) leaking right pump tubing, which now is working fine. My nitrates are really high, hard to get carbonates up and pH is hanging about 6.0 I have about 40 large (4 -5 inch) goldfish in 400 + gallons. It's cold here (low 20's at night and 30's in day) and I can't do a water change and my plants are growing slow. It's hard to get my water temp up (around 60 to 65 degrees, usually about 70) because of the low outside temperatures.
