Iron is a micro-nutrient and is only required in small amounts. The average for AP is 2ppm per system water volume. Adding too much can cause lockout for other minerals and even cause them to precipitate out of the system resulting in…"

Yes in theory you can dose with ammonia slowly increasing the amount to expand the bacteria. I don't think it will solve the nitrate problem with these types of plants though ( I can be wrong as i don't know all the system…"

I am having trouble keeping my ph up in my system. a little back ground on system 275 gal FT, 60 gal sump, three 3ft X 4ft GB. I have been cycling for about 2 weeks at first PH was a bit high 8 to 8.2 used a little PH down about 2oz and then left it alone it was about 7.6 on the 4th day. on fifth day 7.2 and thought I had it so I left it alone. 6th day it dropped to 6.6 but I did nothing. the 7th day the bottom fell out of the ph it was at 6 or less so I used PH up 1/2 tsp of each in kit it…See More

I heat PVC and bend it too. I apply more heat to the outside of the bend.
You can actually see the PVC stretch as the bend is made.

"The plants are started here. The seedlings germinate and are allowed to grow for about 7 days. Then they are transferred into a float bed that is in with the fish tank room. This room is climate protected."
