Mineral supplements

Has anyone tried glacial rock dust and/or Azomite?  I found them to both be beneficial in the system used judiciously, and with no adverse effects to the fish.See More

"Nice front-on view of the system.  You can see here that drainage lines have been split into two independent lines, allowing ample flow back to sump (the sump is a burried 55 gal drum, located behind the visible roughneck bin (that's a…"

"If EVERYTHING is ok with your water, then it has to be a pathogen.  Make sure the water is warm, plenty of DO, and salt the water, if you want to try to save the fish.  I would stop circulation through the plant beds, troughs, whatever,…"

"When ready to harvest fish you will also get lighter color and tastier fillets if you isolate to chosen fish, take them off feed for a couple days and boost up the saline (salt) level in the isolation tank. Good Eating !!!  "

Product similar to Eco Rose available in Canada?

Hi -My system is in definite need of minerals. In researching I keep coming up with a product called Eco Rose and unfortunately it can't be sold in Canada. Does anyone know of a good substitute? I live in a small community with not alot of stores and the closest thing anyone could find was something called "fritted trace elements" however the staff were not grasping how aquaponics works and no one could tell me if this would be safe to use.Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!!See More
